Jönrup & Eriksson is a patent agency started by Emil Jönrup and Tommy Eriksson in Gothenburg in 2016.
Professional background
Each of us has more than 20 years of experience from the field of patents, both from patent departments at technology companies as well as other patent agencies.
Our careers in patents started at a smaller patent agency where we primarily worked with single inventors and smaller companies. We have also worked for many years as patent engineers at a multi-national company in the automotive industry, where we, amongst other duties, purchased patent services from a number of well-established patent agencies.
Apart from this, Emil has had a managerial position at a patent department of a multi-national company in the packaging industry, while Tommy has been a patent consultant at a larger patent agency, mainly dealing with mid-sized to large companies.
Technology fields
We are experienced in patenting from a range of technical fields, especially within the automotive industry. This has involved mechanical inventions such as various components and systems, electro-mechanical and software-related inventions controlling such components and systems, but also inventions in the area of electrification, autonomous vehicles, connectivity and digital services, e.g. apps.
Other areas where we have handled inventions are for example hydraulics, additive manufacturing, aircraft components and medical devices.
